First time I held Caleb after I got back from the operating room
Caleb in his hospital bassinet
Caleb getting a hearing test (passed with flying colors!!)We were discharged from Centennial on Tuesday afternoon. Caleb's Nana (my mother) flew in on Tuesday morning and met us at the hospital a few hours before we were released. It was fun to see her lay eyes on Caleb for the first time! After some discharge instructions, I was wheeled down to the front door and set free on this new adventure as a mom (without 24hr nursing care).

This first week at home could not have been better. Caleb is such a wonderful baby! We have had a lot of fun getting to know him. He is a champ when it comes to eating, sleeping... and believe it or not... pooping and peeing. He has gotten us wet more than once!! Once while laying on his changing table, he shot pee over his head and all over the wall. Another time he aimed right at my stomach and got me soaked. He loves to soil his diaper, get changed, eat and then soil his diaper again so that I have to change him AGAIN! He sleeps about 2.5-3 hours at a time and wakes up super hungry.
He had his one week check-up at the doctor's office on Friday and she said he is doing very well. He lost at least 8 ounces while in the hospital (which is normal) and has gained all but two back. The doctor was very impressed because they aren't expected to be back to birth weight until the second week. She told us that we didn't need to come back for his two week check-up because he was doing so well. So next visit isn't until he is 6 weeks old.
Here are some cute pictures that we have taken of him over the past week.
